COVID-19 Patient and Visitor Information and Policies
During your stay at CHLB, your safety and well-being are our top priority. Please know that we are taking all necessary measures and precautions to protect the safety of our patients and staff. As of October 2020, the Hospital Visitor Policy has been updated to reflect CDC’s guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19. We are proud to implement these increased measures to make every effort to ensure that our patients can receive the highest quality care in a safe, clean, environment.

- Required masks for all patients, personnel and visitors
- Limited patient visitation
We are screening patients with symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath and with a history of travel within the past 14 days to communities with widespread or sustained community transmission of the coronavirus. To the extent possible, all patients will be assigned to single rooms and a mask is required to be worn at all times. All healthcare providers who have contact with any patient will use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. If the hospital has a confirmed or potential patient with COVID-19, we will institute standard infectious disease protocols, as well as additional measures, to prevent the potential spread of the virus.
Following CDC and State of California guidelines, patient visitations, except in rare case-by-case circumstances, are not currently allowed. Those who are able to visit due to extenuating circumstances must wear a mask at all times while in the building and maintain social distancing from the patient. Those who are able to visit due to extenuating circumstances, but who show any signs of illness, including ANY mild symptoms, should not visit patients in the hospital.
